Our full grain leather is vegetable-tanned...which means that it's tanned using tree bark tannins to preserve each hide. This age old method is much more difficult and more costly but it results in a superior product. And without using the heavy chemicals like in most leathers, vegetable tanned products are cleaner, better for the environment, and safer for the tanner!

Our leather is purely vegetable tanned ; which means the cowhide is tanned using vegetable based tannins - rather than the harsh chemicals and heavy metals that are commonly used in other tanneries.
